This is being billed as one of the biggest announcements in Apple's history and we know there is a lot to look forward to today. Below is a look at what is in store. 4.7-inch iPhone 6 The iPhone 6 is one of the most eagerly anticipated releases from Apple since the very first iPhone hit our stores back in 2007. The new iPhone 6 has been given a design overhaul similar to the iPad Air, and will also feature the A8 processor, improved camera and Touch ID and of course, a larger display. All the iPhone 6 leaks and reports we have featured over the last couple of months also suggest a repositioned power button and a new offering in the 128GB storage configuration. It is anticipated that the color options will remain the same and the front of the display is expected to be laden in sapphire glass, a clearer, more robust material that should hopefully reduce the probability of scratches. The device itself is expected to measure just 7mm thick. We will also see improvements to other hardware as well as NFC which will be used to allow mobile payments. 5.5-inch iPhone Plus / iPhone 6L Along with the 4.7 inch iPhone 6, we are also going to see the launch of the 5.5 option which is being called the iPhone Plus. Anyone who has wanted Apple to compete with the likes of Samsung's Galaxy Note is going to be delighted with this model. This 5.5 inch iPhone 6L/Plus is going to offer stronger internal features when compared with the 4.7 model and this will include a larger battery and a possibly better processor. It will also have an iPad like landscape mode. Aside from this, the larger iPhone 6 should be more or less the same in terms of colors, major features and general performance. IOS 8 iOS 8 was first announced back at WWDC, and offers a bunch of new features. As well as HealthKit and HomeKit, third party keyboards will allow users to customize the typing experience. It is expected that Apple will announce the GM build for developers tomorrow with a public release in a week's time. iWatch Apple's iWatch will most certainly be packed with a myriad of sensors as it integrates with the new HealthKit infrastructure, and from what we have heard, will also be coated in sapphire glass. Reports have suggested that it will be a squarish device with rounded corners, and will arrive in 1.3 inch and 1.5 inch size options to suit the styles of men and women. Reports have also suggested that there will be 8GB of storage and 512MB of RAM. It isn't due to hit the market until next year though so we will have to wait for that. We also suspect that we will see one or two other products being shown off and in this post we want to give you the roundup on we think this event might bring. The most obvious device that we expect Apple to demonstrate and make available very soon is the iPad mini 2. We expect that this device will come with Retina display but there are some questions around what CPU power the device will have and whether or not Apple will bring Touch ID to this tablet. The next device is the iPad 5 and this is set to be based on a chip that closely resembles the A7 found in the iPhone 5s. The iPad 5 might also get Apple's new Touch ID. The new larger iPads are always seen as Apple's high-end tablets so bringing a fingerprint sensor to the iPad 5 makes perfect sense. The iPad 5 is also expected to feature a new, smaller bezel. On the software front, and hot on the heels of iOS 7 we expect to see OS X Mavericks demonstrated. Now this this version of OS X 10.9 has been seeded to developers, we wouldn't be at all surprised if Apple launched the new operating system tomorrow making it available instantly via the Mac App store. We are also hoping to have answers regarding the Mac Pro and how much it will cost. The MacBook Pro is another item and Intel's Haswell seems to be the new kid on the block and is currently powering the MacBook Air. Bringing the new chip to the MacBook Pro is just a matter of time and we might just see this revealed tomorrow too. It looks as if all of the iWork and iLife suite of apps for iOS are going to be updated with their iOS 7 makeovers for Tueday too. There really are lots of things that might happen tomorrow and as always we have to wait and see what really does transpire.

Apple has sent out invites for the October 22nd event where we believe we will see the introduction of the next generation range of iPads. The tagline on the invites says �We still have a lot to cover�, and this will probably lead to a lot more speculation over what this event will hold. The expected iPad event will be held at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco on October 22nd at 10.00am PT. Apple has used this venue on a number of occasions to introduce new hardware so it should feel like home for the attending media and company executives. If we are to go on history, we already know that device specific speculation goes into overdrive when an event has been officially announced. There has already been a great deal of rumors surrounding the potential introduction of the iPad mini2 that could come with Retina display and a faster processor. A lot of iPad mini owners have complained about the performance compromises on the device when iOS 7 is installed so an improvement under the hood would be a very welcome addition for those who prefer the 7.9 inch tablet. The inclusion of a fingerprint sensor in the iPhone 5s and accompanying introduction of the Touch ID technology has also increased speculation about the future of the iPad. Apple's Touch ID detection allows users to unlock the device as well as authenticate App Store purchases by scanning a pre-registered fingerprint on the home button of the iPhone 5s. Rumor has it that the same technology will be adapted and used in the iPad 5. Whether or not the iPad mini will get the same biometric based love is another story. An October announcement means that the iPad range will be available for the holiday shopping season. Apart from the iPads, we're expecting Apple to announce new Haswell MacBook Pros, the availability date of the new Mac Pro, and of course the release of OS X Mavericks to the general public.

The event kicked off with Apple CEO Tim Cook giving shareholders an update on how much the company has achieved in the last month. Then Phil Schiller and Tim Cook took it in turns to officially reveal the new Apple fruits. The first announcement was a new version of iBooks. There were no real significant changes. iBooks now features continuous scrolling in between pages for easier reading, better iCloud support and social sharing features. This is not really the kind of update we were expecting but at least it was something. The 13 inch MacBook Pro with Retina display was next and it offers those looking for a thinner, lighter notebook the chance to purchase a high end product in a smaller size. This new model comes with a price tag of $1699 which is $500 cheaper than the 15 inch edition. The Mac mini was next and this features intel�s newest Ivy Bridge processor along with four USB 3.0 ports. There is also a server edition offering up to 2TB of HDD space. The re-designed iMac was also unveiled and this is now just 5mm thick at its thinnest points around the edges. The optical drive is going but we are sure this won�t be an issue with people. Whilst the Mac alternatives were great, it wasn�t the main reason everyone had tuned into this event. This event was always all about the iPad mini and when Schiller finally unveiled it to the world all doubts about this new device were put to rest. The iPad mini packs in the A5 processor, 729p 7.9 inch display and a bezel reflecting that of the iPod touch. It fits nicely into the hand too. The rumor of 12 different models turned out to be a little off but there is still plenty of variety for everyone. The 16GB iPad mini will retail at $329 so we don�t think Apple are going to be dealing with massive demand just yet. The last thing that was announced at this event is something that is a little controversial. Apple decided to give the iPad 3 a few changes. The new �twice as fast� A6X processor has been added along with better Wi-Fi, improved 4G LTE in European and Asian nations and the new lightning connector. A lot of talk has followed this update and many people seem to think that they have been ripped off. It has only been eight months since the launch of the third generation iPad and to have a fourth generation iPad announced so soon is ridiculous. What does everyone else think of this?

This special media event is also expected to be the unveiling of the new iPad mini as well as a refresh of the Mac mini and iMac desktops. With the launch of a smaller iPad, it really isn�t surprising to find that Apple are going to tweak and improve their iBooks service especially when they are planning to drive home the education message in a bid to get more sales for the iPad mini too. The iPad has already played a big role in offering a more interactive education in many schools and learning facilities and with a smaller, cheaper version set to be launched more schools and children will be able to take advantage of this technology. iBooks 2.0 was announced earlier this year and it came with digital textbook support. A current listing on Apple�s iTunes Store mentions iBooks 3.0 and with the media event scheduled for tomorrow we are sure that Tim Cook and his friends at Apple will be able to offer us further insight to this new version during the keynote speech. Whilst the iPad is not considered to be a device for readings, the smaller iPad mini with a lower price tag might just be something that consumers will be willing to pick up and read on. The display of the new iPad mini is expected to have the same resolution as the iPad 2 which means it will a sharp look for the new iBooks will be used. We have absolutely no idea as to what improvements have been made to iBooks 3.0 but we are speculating that it has been significantly altered from its current state. This event will be held in the California Theatre, San Jose. It is expected that Apple is going to announce their iPad Mini, a 13-inch MacBook Pro with retina display, a line up of iMacs and a brand new Mac mini. We have been giving you all the reports and theories so far surrounding Apple�s iPad Mini and while many may have thought this was just a rumor, Apple have now announced a special event. Usually Apple�s keynotes are held at the Yerba Buena Centre for the Arts in San Francisco but this event is going to be held at the California Theatre in San Jose and this is the first official indication that the new iPad Mini will indeed be launching this month. The iPad mini is expected to have a 7.85 inch display and we have also learned that there could be as many as twelve different configurations such as a Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G LTE offering in each of the 8, 16, 32 and 64GB storage capacities. Tim Cook and his team will take to the stage of the Yerba Buena Centre for Arts in just two days time and the sixth generation iPhone rumor mill is still going strong with the latest suggestions being that the new iPhone 5 will feature worldwide LTE support. Over the past couple of months we have heard speculation about pretty much everything to do with the next generation iPhone including but not limited to the physical size and appearance, the inclusion of a new smaller dock connector as well as the potential inclusion of Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. New reports are suggesting that Apple�s next iPhone will feature worldwide LTE functionality, potentially allowing customers to receive lighting fast cellular data speeds no matter where they are in the world. Rather than being limited to a home provider, the inclusion would mean that the device could receive LTE coverage in places like Asia, Europe and the Americas based on the availability of LTE services. When it comes to LTE it looks like a number of carriers are likely not to offer the LTE services to customers meaning the device would drop back onto normal 3G data in these locations. In addition to that, Apple also have the threat of legal action from Samsung Electronics hanging over their heads due to the company holding over 800 LTE based patents. If Apple does decide to roll-out the new iPhone with LTE functionality we could see Samsung vs. Apple round two on the cards. There have been numerous suggestions that Apple will radically redesign the iPod nano and change the iPod touch. The current watch-like form of the iPod nano is apparently set for a major redesign seeing it morph to an oblong design that will have a larger rectangular display along with a home button. The home button isn�t the only trait that the new nano will share with its iOS running cousin either and as well as including Wi-Fi capabilities and support for iTunes in the Cloud, its operating system is also said to further represent iOS. If Apple is planning to keep the nano running for the foreseeable future it would make sense for users to be able to download and sync content on the fly even if only over Wi-Fi. As we have seen in previous reports, the new look does look similar to the old iPod mini although the home button sites relative to the area that was previously covered by the old click wheel. It is yet to be see what the new iPod touch will bring, carrying the same old design for the past couple of years we do expect to see some sort of revamp such as the inclusion of a larger display which the iPhone 5 will hold or perhaps it will have a tweaked processor which would turn the iPod touch into a gaming powerhouse. We have to wait until next week and the Apple Media Event of the 12th of September to hear the official announcements but if all looks really promising and we will keep you updated as soon as we hear anymore.

History does tell us however that it will probably be the following week. Last year everyone was adamant that we were going to see an iPhone 5 and we were left with the iPhone 4S with better hardware but still more or less the same as the iPhone 4. Techies were delighted with the dual-core processor and 64GB memory options and there was also the introduction of Siri, the voice recognition feature. This time around, the hardware leaks and general consensus suggests that the new iPhone will have a similar design as its predecessor and the upgrades are set to be as good as it gets. A quad-core chip, 4G LTE, larger screen and more RAM are just some of the anticipated improvements. The new device will also come with iOS 6 and it is likely to sell in huge numbers as the holiday season approaches. This would mean a media event for the new iPhone dubbed the iPhone 5 and the iPad Mini. Gruber has suggested that Apple will first invite shareholders and spectators to a media event that will be about the iPhone 5 and iOS 6. This event is set to be held on the 12th of September and will see the new iPhone 5 being introduced along with the sixth edition of the OS firmware. The iPhone is then expected to be released to the public nine days after this announcement. A couple of weeks later, Gruber reckons that Apple will announce the iPad Mini at its traditional music event in early October. It was originally thought that these two devices would be announced at the same time but now it seems that they will be staggered by about a month. Gruber is well known for his accuracy and given his track record when it comes to Apple gossip we can be pretty sure that there will indeed be two separate events. The smaller iPad which was still doubtful now looks to be a certainty and with price being the key factor this could be one of the most successful gadgets of all time. The Google ASUS Nexus 7 has seen strong sales and great reviews in its first month or two on sale making the iPad�s dominance look set to drop. The introduction of the iPad Mini could change this completely. If Apple can deliver a decent device at an affordable price it could mean game over for other table vendors. One of the main issues that consumers have with iOS devices is the high price tag so if Apple can get the price right on the iPad Mini it could mean big things. This will see Apple moving away from their usual home in Cupertino and San Francisco and sources close to the alleged event claim that Apple will invade New York towards the end of January in order to host an event that will have a media related announcement. Rumors are already circulating that they might be going to announce the iPad 3 or an interactive television set. Perhaps it will be an update to iOS or more. The answers to these questions cannot be answered at the moment but like all Apple events there is sure to be something interesting and noteworthy to this event.
