This is being billed as one of the biggest announcements in Apple's history and we know there is a lot to look forward to today. Below is a look at what is in store. 4.7-inch iPhone 6 The iPhone 6 is one of the most eagerly anticipated releases from Apple since the very first iPhone hit our stores back in 2007. The new iPhone 6 has been given a design overhaul similar to the iPad Air, and will also feature the A8 processor, improved camera and Touch ID and of course, a larger display. All the iPhone 6 leaks and reports we have featured over the last couple of months also suggest a repositioned power button and a new offering in the 128GB storage configuration. It is anticipated that the color options will remain the same and the front of the display is expected to be laden in sapphire glass, a clearer, more robust material that should hopefully reduce the probability of scratches. The device itself is expected to measure just 7mm thick. We will also see improvements to other hardware as well as NFC which will be used to allow mobile payments. 5.5-inch iPhone Plus / iPhone 6L Along with the 4.7 inch iPhone 6, we are also going to see the launch of the 5.5 option which is being called the iPhone Plus. Anyone who has wanted Apple to compete with the likes of Samsung's Galaxy Note is going to be delighted with this model. This 5.5 inch iPhone 6L/Plus is going to offer stronger internal features when compared with the 4.7 model and this will include a larger battery and a possibly better processor. It will also have an iPad like landscape mode. Aside from this, the larger iPhone 6 should be more or less the same in terms of colors, major features and general performance. IOS 8 iOS 8 was first announced back at WWDC, and offers a bunch of new features. As well as HealthKit and HomeKit, third party keyboards will allow users to customize the typing experience. It is expected that Apple will announce the GM build for developers tomorrow with a public release in a week's time. iWatch Apple's iWatch will most certainly be packed with a myriad of sensors as it integrates with the new HealthKit infrastructure, and from what we have heard, will also be coated in sapphire glass. Reports have suggested that it will be a squarish device with rounded corners, and will arrive in 1.3 inch and 1.5 inch size options to suit the styles of men and women. Reports have also suggested that there will be 8GB of storage and 512MB of RAM. It isn't due to hit the market until next year though so we will have to wait for that. These will include the smartwatch and the iPhone 6. We have been receiving a great deal of information on the iPhone 6 but when it comes to the iWatch the details have been pretty scarce. The main reason for this is that the iWatch has apparently gone into production yet. Still, the official announcement is only days away and small bits of information do seem to be trickling through. Ming Chi Kuo revealed earlier that the iWatch may include 8GB of storage and 512MB RAM. The latest report we have seen comes from The New York Times and it implies that the iWatch/iBand will feature a flexible display, and although this isn't the first time that we have heard this, the fact that it is coming from The New York Times just days before the Keynote speech does make us think it is the real deal. Allowing the device to have a curved display would mean that it would fit more comfortably on your wrist, and with numerous reports touting two separate configurations to suit both men and women, it is clear that Apple won't be straying too far from its ethos of delivering fashionable products. Despite keeping the iWatch fashionable, Apple also plans to grab a piece of the fitness and health market and HealthKit will be at the heart of the iWatch's functionality. It is expected that the flexible panel will be protected by sapphire glass, a material that has popped up as nauseam over the last few months and that is strongly suspected to be covering at least some of the iPhone 6 as well. The New York Times has also suggested that the upcoming iPhone 6 will feature a �one-handed mode�, which will allow users to complete tasks and actions while holding the device with one hand. It won't be compulsory, but given that some users will no doubt struggle with basic tasks over a 4.7 or 5.5 inch screen, it is good to see that Apple has taken the time to refine some of the functionality. So with both the iWatch and the iPhone 6 only days away from their official announcement we really are beginning to get excited. Apple has also confirmed the live stream, which will be available via Safari on OS X and iOS as well as Apple TV, so no matter where you are on the 9th of September, you will be able to see what is happening and of course we will have all the updates as well.

The rumoured Apple iWatch is being very much talked about. We aren�t really sure what the device is going to look like yet but a new concept courtesy of SET Solution shows that the iWatch could look very close to a miniature iPhone. Even thought Apple likes to maintain some similarity between their iDevices, we really wouldn�t be all that pleased to find ourselves wearing anything like the concept design video. SET Solution has not only kept the software similar but also the overall design elements between the smartphone and its companion wrist watch. The end result is an elongated iPhone lookalike which really doesn�t below on your wrist. Other elements of this design are pretty interesting though. The wristband appears to be thin and is pleasing on the eye. It also looks like it would be very comfortable to wear. The other element that stood out was the wireless charging. Essentially the iWatch would come in a powercase that will serve as a docking station for the device, and once docked, will allow for charging. While it is just a concept, it is one we like and hope that Apple will implement. Overall, the iWatch looks like it is going to be a very interesting product even if Google gets its Android wear to the market first. We can�t wait to see what the reaction to the iWatch will be once it arrives later this year. When iOS 7 was released, we saw Apple make some great improvements to the general functionality and the revamped user interface was a big talking point. Skeuomorphic elements were removed in favor of flatness throughout and most agree that this was a change for the better. With iOS 8, the focus seems to be on new apps. We aren't expecting any major changes to the interface. The Healthbook app is expected to be among the key features of iOS 8 and this will offer Apple a way into the $3 trillion health market. This app will be presented in a card-like interface much like Passbook and will cover everything from heart rate to blood sugar levels. It could also be integrated into Apple's rumored smartwatch too. The iTunes Radio was launched with iOS 7, but the service hasn't really taken off. To give iTunes Radio a sense of identity, Apple are creating a standalone iTunes Radio app for its streaming music service which should help it to compete with existing streamers. The Game Center is set to be removed even though it has generally been successful. Along with the process of adding and omitting key features, Apple will perform its usual housekeeping on some pre-existing elements of iOS. We can expect to see some enhancements to features like Notifications, Messages, Voice Memos and the newly introduced CarPlay. We will also see iOS 8 including a bunch of new cloud-based features that will promote seamless communication between Apple's range of devices. Large segments of both iOS and OS X will be tied into and based upon the cloud infrastructure as time goes on. Reports and leaked screenshots also suggest that a new dedicated Tips app will be presented and this will likely help users to get the most out of their device. We could also see Shazam-powered music identification in Siri which will allow users to process their requests through Siri rather than having to open the Shazam app. Integration with the iWatch is another thing that has been suggested although it has yet to be confirmed. IOS 8 is expected to be announced at WWDC 2014 in June with the roll-out sometime in the Fall. After WWDC we will have a much better idea of what to expect from iOS 8.

The reports also goes on to talk about the iWatch which will reportedly feature a flexible OLED display and more. Most smartphone vendors are turning out devices with 5-inch+ and even bigger displays but Apple has always stayed faithful to the notion that the consumer prefers a panel that can be held and navigated comfortably with one hand. Indeed, the 3.5-inch display of the original iPhone stayed the same until the launch of the iPhone 5 and while this slight jump up to 4 inches has given iPhone users a little more display, even the iPhone 5s and 5c cut a rather feeble figure when compared to some of the industry's real monsters. This is not the first time we have heard reports of Apple increasing the size of their display and the Wall Street Journal recently talked about the idea that Apple was thinking about making the display between 5 and 6 inches. If Apple does decide to go with this idea, you can bet that they will keep on of the 4 inch model around for a while so that they can guage just how many consumers are looking to enjoy iOS on an Android sized device. ETNews also reported on the full-size iPad that will be taking on a similar form fact to the iPad mini when it is released next month. This report also suggests that Apple is planning an 12.9-inch iPad which is due to be released some time during 2014. Finally, in their report, they included information on the so-called iWatch which will apparently feature a flexible OLED display from LG. It all sounds great and we can't wait to see how these rumors hold up and if Apple will release any of these products.
