Later this year we could see Apple release their budget iPhone and according to the latest reports, it will come in two different version which are codenamed Zenvo and Zagato. These latest rumors come from Chinese social media website Weibo, where some leaked documents have appeared. These detail exactly what the two low cost iPhones will be. Whilst we don't know for sure if these documents are fake or not, they do state that Apple will release two budget iPhone models later this year. One of these will be cheaper than the other although if the specifications are correct, this is probably a China-only model. The first of these two models is going to feature a 4-inch display and Samsung HP5 dual-core processor backed up by 1GB of RAM, Bluetooth 4.0 and FDD 4G. This model is believed to be codenamed Zenvo. The other model which is codenamed Zagato/Bertone will be exactly the same except for a H6P processor and TDD 4G LTE connectivity. It is this 4G technology that is currently being employed in China, which suggests that this model will be available here only. Getting genuine details of the upcoming low cost iPhone are hard to come by and even though more and more photos are popping up, we are still guessing about what Apple really does have up its sleeve. At this point, the rumors are just too strong to say that the handset isn't real, and its a safe bet that this new iPhone is going to be made available in multiple colors too. This low cost iPhone is expected to be released alongside Apple's regular iPhone later this year. Perhaps being called the iPhone 5S or iPhone 6, this is the handset that most people will be looking to buy. The low cost iPhone will be something that all those who just can't afford the regular model will be looking forward to.

It has been suggested that Apple is going to bring out a larger screened device taht could actually rival Samsung's Galaxy Note. Apple is currently shipping the iPhone 5 with a 4 inch display which is considerably smaller than Samsung's 5 inch panel that is seen on the Galaxy S4. The extra inch does make for quite a bit more screen and makes full HD display possible. The Galaxy S4 runs at 1920x1080 pixels or 441 pixels per inch whereas the iPhone 5 sits at 1136x640 and 326 pixels per inch. This is quite a difference. Rumors that Apple's next handset will feature a pocket bursting 5 inch plus display have led to a new concept featuring an iPhone 5.7. We have to admit, we weren't all that keen on the idea of a larger iPhone phablet until we saw this concept and we can honestly say that now we want one. The concept offers a handset packed with the same resolution screen as Samsung's along with a quad core A7 chip in order to make it easier for iOS 7 to push all those pixels around. Placed side by side with an iPhone 5 showing iOS 7's colorful interface, it is clear that the 5.7 inch iPhone would look stunning. The only question we have is would it be a little bit too big for people to really use. Being realistic, we think that a 5 inch device would be better than a 5.7 inch one, but with Samsung's Galaxy Note series selling really well, what's to say that Apple won't skip the 5 inch market? Stranger things have happened but like all Apple rumors we have to wait and see. There are so many rumors about what Apple will incorporate into the next iPhone so until we have any official confirmation we really don't know. Today, however we have come across some high qualithy images of what we are being told are components of the next generation Apple iPhone. These images really don't tell us too much because they are of hardware components but it is still nice to get a clearer view of the parts. They don't appear to be much different from the components that were used in the iPhone 5 and we would like to think that Apple has some relatively sizeable alterations in mind for this upcoming handset. Recent reports have suggested that the next Apple iPhone is going to be called the iPhone 6 and we have already seen the Vodafone UK's internal inventory system was leaked displaying this. Whether this is to be the case of not remains to be seen but one thing is for sure, whatever name Apple decides to go for, the outcome of the device will be identical. All the fuss surrounding the new iOS 7 has taken attention away from the next generation iPhone which is reportedly going to be released in September which is a year after the iPhone 5 was released. It is also expected that Apple will also launch a budget iPhone to help them compete with those markets too but this is a rumor that has been going for quite some time now and so far we haven't seen any evidence of it. A lot of people are wondering what Apple is planning and in addition to this a lot of sources have suggested that Apple will bring out a budget iPhone at some point in the near future. Resident concept maker Martin Hajek has come up with a rather interesting �iPhone Mini� design, which also incorporates a rather enlarged iOS interface by Damaso Benitez. Now this enlarged iOS 7 concept user interface isn't the most impressive and the icons look a little too big but that really is a matter of personal choice. The �iPhone Mini� itself doesn't look too bad though and Hajek has described it as coming complete with a plastic back. The overall design however does bear an awful lot of resemblance to the latest iPod touch. This is a positive and if Apple could emulate a design like Hajek's for its low cost endeavors, we feel that the market response would be very positive. In all honesty, it is possible that consumers will actually be so overwhelmed with the prospect of a low cost iPhone that a large portion of them would automatically be interested. At the moment, the price is simply too high for the majority of people and after six years and no sign of any sort of respite, it is a fair bet that if this product does goes into production, it will be a huge success. Of course success for a budget iPhone is really going to depend on pricing and since the iPad mini didn't really do this in terms of how much it went of sale for, it will be interesting to see if Apple can break away from their old habits and actually appeal to smaller pockets and emerging markets in the likes of China and India. If a cheaper iPhone is on the cards, we would be very impressed if it resembled what Hajek has produced in his concept. What do you think? According to Apple's government liaison, the next two generations of iPhone were developed a long time agon and that both were designed before Steve Jobs succumbed to his illness. If you regularly read our blog then you will know that speculation has been mounting over the past couple of weeks about the possible release date, aesthetics and technical specifications for the next generation iPhone. New reports are now suggesting that Apple could be planning on releasing a new iPhone by June of this year and this may also see high end and low end model releases. There have been a number of reports already that have suggested that Apple might be planning on offering the new iPhone in a range of colors like they have with the fifth generation iPod touch. The report on the potential of a June release for the next iPhone comes courtesy of Michael Walkley of Canaccord Genuity who also believes the hype surrounding a high end and lower end iPhone to cater for all the different markets. Releasing a new iPhone in June would actually fall back in line with Apple's traditional release schedule for the iPhone and would also fit perfectly in with the WWDC in San Francisco. The thinking behind the lower end model iPhone is that Apple wants to tap into the budget market consumers who normally prefer to buy pre-paid type contracts. According to Walkley a lower specification device would be very successful in China, Latin America and Eastern Europe. Brian White from Topeka Capital has suggested that the low end device will be for price conscious consumers and could actually fall back onto the 3G technology rather than being LTE compatible. He also suggested that we could see this model having the smaller 3.5 inch display too. Of course, as is always the case, this is all just speculation at the moment and no concrete evidence has been provided. According to a report at The China Times, the decision to make this change will help to remedy prevalent interference issues which have taken the shine off the iPhone 5's display. Apple did appease many users by going with the slightly larger 4 inch display but the decision to fuse the LCD and digitizer as one entity came as a bit of a double edged sword. The in cell touch technology has allowed the iPhone 5 to have its thin form factor but it has also been causing interference issues for some iPhone 5 users. With the iPhone 5, the fused panel can cause interference and has been highlighted as a root cause of the scrolling glitch. This issue hasn't affectd everyone but in many cases, the iPhone 5's display has reportedly stopped accepting touch inputs when a continual up and down slide gesture is performed quickly. The China Times report leads us to believe that Innolux's alternative touch on display technology can maintain the svelteness without compromising on the general user experience. According to the report, Innolux is said to have sent some samples to Apple for testing purposes and if all goes well, the next iPhone which might be called the iPhone 5S could be the first handset to enjoy this new technology. The latest report is that the new iPhone will have an even smaller 8-pin connector port which is twice as small as the recently reported 19-pin connector port. As well as having a supposedly longer slightly thinner form factor, reshuffled headphone jack and a few cosmetic tweaks, the one recurring feature to be discussed is the smaller dock connector. The current 30-pin connector was said to be making way for a 19-pin connector which was half the size but now iLounge has speculated that Apple might in fact be cutting this new port down to just 8 pins. Two of iLounge�s sources corroborate that 8-pin notion as well as hinting the dock connector itself could be subject to a name change. The report suggests that Apple doesn�t need more pins than a USB offers although their connector does have advantages. The current 30-pin connector has 11 pins that are deemed surplus to requirements but the 19 that are left are still used by accessory makers. By cutting this number down to 8 it would appear that the majority of accessories will become useless which really won�t do Apple any favors especially considering that consumers have already spent hundreds on iPeripherals. With this being said, the new leaked shots of the new dock do look a lot smaller than 19 pins so we will really just have to wait and see what Apple are planning. Either Apple have packed the pins in tightly or there is going to be a lot of disgruntled third party accessory makers and purchasers. As well as the dock speculation there is also talk about the new iOS 6 which is said to also include a new Bluetooth 4.0 bridging feature which opens the door to an iPod nano watch. This feature could allow for iMessages to be read on the iPod nano which could be interesting to a lot of gadget geeks.

An analyst has seemingly told investors that he believes that Apple will not release a new iPhone during the summer because of chip shortages. Gene Munster who is an analyst at Piper Jaffray believes that even if Apple had wanted to bring out the next iPhone sooner than October it wouldn�t be possible because of shortages by LTE chip maker Qualcomm. LTE is now part of the new iPad arsenal and Munster believes that the iPhone is also going to pick up on the 4G speed. With Qualcomm�s supply issues it means that a new iPhone release date would be more like October. It is also believed that Apple will include LTE in the new iPhone as an important feature in the product update. LTE capability in the iPad has been rumoured since the iPad 2 launch and many had hoped that the 4G technology would be added to the iPhone before the iPhone 4S was announced. With this technology now present in the new iPad device, it is almost a certain that Apple will put the LTE chip into the next iPhone too. The latest rumor to surface isn�t really a new one, more a recycled rumor that came before the release of the iPhone 4S. This rumor is saying that the next iPhone will have a liquid metal body enclosure. According to ETNews, the next iPhone which it is calling the iPhone 5 will deviate from the iPhone 4 and 4S glass form and instead use liquid metal. Apple purchased the IP rights to the liquid metal technology a couple of years ago and this actually makes the liquid metal rumor one that could be believed. So far though, liquid metal has only been used in a SIM card ejector tool. According to this report, both Apple and Samsung are to deviate from the materials currently used in their devices and the report also mentions the all but confirmed ceramic finish of the Samsung Galaxy S III, which is to be announced in London on the 3rd of May. Like the S III, the next iPhone is set to be thin, light and highly resistant to external impacts and the report goes on to say that the liquid metal body is likely to consist of zirconium, titanium, nickel and copper. This liquid metal encased device would mean less scratches and corrosion and manufacturing this would be a lot easier too. The metal would also be lighter but as strong as titanium so it would make sense for Apple to move in this direction. These are of course still only rumors and the report does go on to mention that the next iPhone will debut at WWDC this year so we only have a couple of months to wait.
