Today, however we have come across some high qualithy images of what we are being told are components of the next generation Apple iPhone. These images really don't tell us too much because they are of hardware components but it is still nice to get a clearer view of the parts. They don't appear to be much different from the components that were used in the iPhone 5 and we would like to think that Apple has some relatively sizeable alterations in mind for this upcoming handset. Recent reports have suggested that the next Apple iPhone is going to be called the iPhone 6 and we have already seen the Vodafone UK's internal inventory system was leaked displaying this. Whether this is to be the case of not remains to be seen but one thing is for sure, whatever name Apple decides to go for, the outcome of the device will be identical. All the fuss surrounding the new iOS 7 has taken attention away from the next generation iPhone which is reportedly going to be released in September which is a year after the iPhone 5 was released. It is also expected that Apple will also launch a budget iPhone to help them compete with those markets too but this is a rumor that has been going for quite some time now and so far we haven't seen any evidence of it. For now all we can do is wait for the official announcement at WWDC in June and until then, we will continue to bring you news and updates of interest.

According to a research note from Ming-chi Kuo of KGI Securities both of these devices have been hit with delays. The release date for the iPhone 5S was though to be July with announcement in June but now it appears that neither of these devices will be hitting the markets any time soon. Kuo touches on a number of reasons for Apple's struggles with the two devices in his report and among these is that there is difficulty integrating the heavily-rumored new fingerprint sensor into the iPhone 5S. The fingerprint sensor looks set to be among the numerous features that are being added to the upcoming device, but if Kuo's words are to be believed, the feature may be causing more than a bit of a design headache. He stated that �Apple has to work out how to prevent interference from the black and white coating material under the glass.� No other company has attempted anything like this before on mobile devices so Apple can't look at any existing designs for inspiration or possible workarounds. As well as the iPhone 5S, the next generation iPad mini is also proving to be a little more problematic than first thought and manufactureres seem to be having difficulty with the new retina disply panels. Kuo does however remain optimistic and he reckons that that these devices will make an appearance in the third quarter of this year, and even though no dates have been given, it looks like we might see a similar sequence of events as we did back in 2012.

The rumors are now forming on the new iPhone which many feel will be called the iPhone 5S. With Samsung announcing their Galaxy S4 that will definitely pack a punch, we could see many people debating whether or not to snap up this latest Android device. Many however will wait to see what Apple has in store with their new iPhone. The latest reports suggest that Apple plans to release a new iPhone shortly after this year's WWDC. The new iPhone will no doubt be an improved version of the current iPhone 5 and if the reports turn out to be true, we will see the new iPhone 5S being shipped by the end of July 2013. It really won't come as much of a surprise if Apple decides to hit the market with a relatively minor tweaked model and although the aesthetics and external facade of the device will remain consistent with what we already have, reports are suggesting that improvements may come in the form of a higher performing camera and an upgraded processor. The iPhone 5 currently ships with an 8 mega pixel iSight camera so we could see the iPhone 5S ship with 12 mega pixels minimum. These rumors and the information we have received comes courtesy of DigiTime and their proposed release dates and improvements do fit in with the other rumors that have been circulating. As with all rumors, we do have to wait for the official announcement from Apple and those attending this year's WWDC may actually witness the original introduction of the new iPhone. The latest reports say that the iPhone 5S will hit assembly lines in March and the device itself will launch in June or July of this year. Peter Misek of Jefferies has stated that two iPhone prototypes are currently being tested by Apple. Speaking more on the two alleged prototypes, one is thought to be the iPhone 5S whilst the other is thought to be a low cost iPhone. This is not the first time we have heard this rumor and you may recall that it has already been quashed by Phil Schiller but doesn't look to be going away. It is worth noting that Apple has gone back on its word a number of times so we really don't know whether or not they will decide to launch a cheaper iPhone. They have alreadey brought out a cheaper iPad in the form of the iPad mini but this has disappointed a lot of people because it was missing key features such as the retina display and it was still considered to be a lot more expensive than similar spec tablets that are currently on the market. The introduction of a low cost iPhone is said to be a pawn in Apple's plan to woo emerging markets such as China. Misek believes that this device will be similar to the iPad mini and it will be a low cost iPhone with a polycarbonate case and a 4 inch non retina display with no LTE. The iPhone 5S on the other hand will have all the Apple upgrades which will include a faster processor, improved general performance and a couple of Siri level implementations to keep users happy until the iPhone 6 arrives. The report does state that the two devices could be set for release in June or July but as with all rumors and reports nothing can be fully believed until Apple release the information themselves. I guess like everything else, we just have to wait and see.

If you regularly read our blog then you will know that speculation has been mounting over the past couple of weeks about the possible release date, aesthetics and technical specifications for the next generation iPhone. New reports are now suggesting that Apple could be planning on releasing a new iPhone by June of this year and this may also see high end and low end model releases. There have been a number of reports already that have suggested that Apple might be planning on offering the new iPhone in a range of colors like they have with the fifth generation iPod touch. The report on the potential of a June release for the next iPhone comes courtesy of Michael Walkley of Canaccord Genuity who also believes the hype surrounding a high end and lower end iPhone to cater for all the different markets. Releasing a new iPhone in June would actually fall back in line with Apple's traditional release schedule for the iPhone and would also fit perfectly in with the WWDC in San Francisco. The thinking behind the lower end model iPhone is that Apple wants to tap into the budget market consumers who normally prefer to buy pre-paid type contracts. According to Walkley a lower specification device would be very successful in China, Latin America and Eastern Europe. Brian White from Topeka Capital has suggested that the low end device will be for price conscious consumers and could actually fall back onto the 3G technology rather than being LTE compatible. He also suggested that we could see this model having the smaller 3.5 inch display too. Of course, as is always the case, this is all just speculation at the moment and no concrete evidence has been provided. The iPhone 5 was released just three months ago and already people are beginning to discuss its successor. Some of the predictions include multiple color configurations and multiple screen sizes. With theme display alterations, the latest rumors suggest that Apple will scrap the recently implemented in cell touch technology and go for the new touch on display technology that has been created by Chimei Innolux. According to a report at The China Times, the decision to make this change will help to remedy prevalent interference issues which have taken the shine off the iPhone 5's display. Apple did appease many users by going with the slightly larger 4 inch display but the decision to fuse the LCD and digitizer as one entity came as a bit of a double edged sword. The in cell touch technology has allowed the iPhone 5 to have its thin form factor but it has also been causing interference issues for some iPhone 5 users. With the iPhone 5, the fused panel can cause interference and has been highlighted as a root cause of the scrolling glitch. This issue hasn't affectd everyone but in many cases, the iPhone 5's display has reportedly stopped accepting touch inputs when a continual up and down slide gesture is performed quickly. The China Times report leads us to believe that Innolux's alternative touch on display technology can maintain the svelteness without compromising on the general user experience. According to the report, Innolux is said to have sent some samples to Apple for testing purposes and if all goes well, the next iPhone which might be called the iPhone 5S could be the first handset to enjoy this new technology.
