The launch of the more expensive flagship iPhone 5s is more significant as it is the first smartphone to have a fingerprint sensor and a 64 bit processor. This new device is also the first iPhone to ever ship in three colors. The iPhone 5C which is the budget iPhone is also available and if you haven't already made up your mind which one is for you let us help you out. It was rumored that the iPhone 5s would have a 128GB storage option but this hasn't turned out to be the case. You can by an iPhone 5s with 16GB, 34GB and 64GB of storage. Which one you choose will depend on your usage habits and how many different tasks you rely on your phone to do. We could still see a 128GB model come on stream at a later date. The iPhone 5S is the first to ship in 3 colors and the new Gold color has been quite a talking point. Accompanying this new champagne-like color is a space gray option which is similar to the black iPhone 5 and there is also the Silver model. The color you choose is a matter of personal choice. When deciding between an unlocked model or a contract model there are advantages and disadvantages to both. If you sign up for a contract your get your iPhone for a lot cheaper. The problem with this is that most contracts run for 18 months to two years and with a new iPhone coming on stream every year you might not want to do this. The cost of buying an unlocked iPhone is of course much dearer and if you don't want to spend several hundreds of dollars then a contract could be the option for you. The iPhone 5c has also been released although it hasn't been very well received. Pre-orders for iPhone tend to be quite high and they are only available for a day or two. That being said, the iPhone 5c can still be pre-ordered and this is now tens days after the announcement so it doesn't look very good for this model. The iPhone 5c is the cheaper, budget iPhone and it comes in a different shell, has a slightly bumped battery life and one or two other tweaks. If you are looking for a good smartphone that is capable of completing almost any task for general users then the iPhone 5c could be a great choice. This news comes from WSJ's AllThingsD which has a great track record of accurately reporting such events. According to ATD, Apple is expected to unveil its next iPhone at a special event on September 10th. The launch comes at an important time for Apple, which continues to make a lot of money from the iPhone but has seen its global market share dip amid a growing wave of lower-cost Android devices as well as an intense battle with archrival Samsung. During this upcoming event, it is expected that Apple will unveil a spec-bumped version of the iPhone 5 which is rumored to be the iPhone 5S. This will reportedly feature a 12 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, higher resolution screen, fingerprint sensor, faster processor and more. Also planned during this event is the unveiling of a budget friendly model being dubbed the iPhone 5C which is being developed for the lower-end market. The final public version of iOS 7 will also likely make its debut at this event. AllThingsD's report doesn't mention anything about the iPads which is anything means that Apple will probably hold a separate event in October or November to release the next generation iPads. Later this year we could see Apple release their budget iPhone and according to the latest reports, it will come in two different version which are codenamed Zenvo and Zagato. These latest rumors come from Chinese social media website Weibo, where some leaked documents have appeared. These detail exactly what the two low cost iPhones will be. Whilst we don't know for sure if these documents are fake or not, they do state that Apple will release two budget iPhone models later this year. One of these will be cheaper than the other although if the specifications are correct, this is probably a China-only model. The first of these two models is going to feature a 4-inch display and Samsung HP5 dual-core processor backed up by 1GB of RAM, Bluetooth 4.0 and FDD 4G. This model is believed to be codenamed Zenvo. The other model which is codenamed Zagato/Bertone will be exactly the same except for a H6P processor and TDD 4G LTE connectivity. It is this 4G technology that is currently being employed in China, which suggests that this model will be available here only. Getting genuine details of the upcoming low cost iPhone are hard to come by and even though more and more photos are popping up, we are still guessing about what Apple really does have up its sleeve. Techdy has gotten their hands on the front and rear parts of this device and when placed together, they offer a very solid idea of the form this low cost iPhone will take. On first impressions, it looks incredibly similar to the Nokia Lumia 620. The Techdy website has plenty of images and a vide that describes how the device feels when held. Although this is not a complete working device in that it cannot be switched on, the two parts do give the appearance of a complete device when placed together. Techdy also goes on to say that although predominantly polycarbonate, the device doesn't feel cheap in any way. The device which is like the Lumia 920 still offers a premium feel and although we assume it doesn't quite measure up to the iPhone 5 when it comes to the standard of finish, it does go to show that even if Apple do break the mold in appealing to the mid market, they aren't going to make too many compromises on their ethos to deliver high quality devices. The device is to have a 4 inch display and a shape similar to Apple's original iPod. It certainly won't outshine the flagship iPhone, but with that said, we are impressed by what we've seen so far especially if this is a legitimate leak. This low cost iPhone could be really successful if priced right and if rumors are to be believed we could see this device coming on streat as early as next year. A lot of people are wondering what Apple is planning and in addition to this a lot of sources have suggested that Apple will bring out a budget iPhone at some point in the near future. Resident concept maker Martin Hajek has come up with a rather interesting �iPhone Mini� design, which also incorporates a rather enlarged iOS interface by Damaso Benitez. Now this enlarged iOS 7 concept user interface isn't the most impressive and the icons look a little too big but that really is a matter of personal choice. The �iPhone Mini� itself doesn't look too bad though and Hajek has described it as coming complete with a plastic back. The overall design however does bear an awful lot of resemblance to the latest iPod touch. This is a positive and if Apple could emulate a design like Hajek's for its low cost endeavors, we feel that the market response would be very positive. In all honesty, it is possible that consumers will actually be so overwhelmed with the prospect of a low cost iPhone that a large portion of them would automatically be interested. At the moment, the price is simply too high for the majority of people and after six years and no sign of any sort of respite, it is a fair bet that if this product does goes into production, it will be a huge success. Of course success for a budget iPhone is really going to depend on pricing and since the iPad mini didn't really do this in terms of how much it went of sale for, it will be interesting to see if Apple can break away from their old habits and actually appeal to smaller pockets and emerging markets in the likes of China and India. If a cheaper iPhone is on the cards, we would be very impressed if it resembled what Hajek has produced in his concept. What do you think? As part of the iPhone rumor circus, one suggestion that keeps coming up is that Apple's budget iPhone is going to feature an all new polycarbonate plastic shell which is not too dissimilar to the old iPhone 3G and 3GS models. Withi this firmly in mind, one Apple rumor website has gone as far as to release images of what this budget iPhone model could look like. These images show 10 different colors and whether or not you are a fan of the idea or not will depend on your aesthetic preferences. The concepts that are shown on this website remind us of the old bubble iMacs thanks to the colours used. Still, we are not convinced that such a release is on the cards at all, let alone one that would see Apple release overly colorful iPhone bodies. Apple has been known for releasing colorful products and the current iPod models are available in a variety fo colors but the iPad and iPhone ship in just blank or white. Offering a cheaper, less well equipped iPhone in multiple colors may appeal to some, but Apple may be wary of diluting its own market. People might actually prefer to buy the colorful models and this would slow down sales of the higher end metal products. At this point all we can really say is that the rumor surrounding a budget iPhone are not going to go away any time soon and we can expect to see a lot more rumors surfacing in the run up to the annual WWDC conference later this year.
