The constant multitasking and apps running in the background tend to use up the battery quicker than ever. If you have ever used Google Now over and extended period of time on your iPhone then you will know exactly what we mean. A lot of people have started to notice that their iPhones aren't charging as they should. Phones that are left to charge aren't charging and Lightning cables that are expected to deliver the much needed juice are simply failing. Others have reported that the Lightning connectors are moving around inside their iPhones a little too much and these aren't the cheap knock off cables either. We came across this tip on Reddit and it makes great sense. The thread was started by someone who found that his iPhone 5 was refusing to charge and, luckily for him, he happened to be at dinner with someone who worked for Apple. According to the Reddit thread, the charging problem was fixed by taking a toothpick to the Lightning port and, after a little prodding and probing, relieved it of all its lint. That's the pocket link that our iPhones get subjected to every time we put them in our pockets. Obviously enough, it gets into all the nooks and crannies of our smartphones and that includes the Lightning port so that the cables won't fit in properly. We tested this with an iPhone 5 that we have that has been a little iffy when it comes to charging and it worked.
