P0sixpwn is the recently released tool for the untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.5, 6.1.4 and 6.1.3. It has been updated to iron out a few bugs. This tool allows Windows users to jailbreak their devices running on older versions of Apple's iOS. This new release is available for both the Mac OS X and Windows and is version 1.0.5.
Version 1.0.5 of this software fixes a number of bugs that have been reported over the last week. This version also sees additional support being added for Mac OS X users. We don't really know how many Mac owners are still running OS X Snow Leopard, but for those who are the good news is that this tool will run smoothly for them now.
The P0sixpwn for Windows and Mac tools comes courtesy of iH8sn0w and Winocm and is the second jailbreak tool to be released in as many weeks that offers an untethered status to compatible devices. This particular package focuses its attention on the users that opted to remain on iOS 6.1.x or those who simply can't upgrade due to hardware limitations. There has been quite a lot of controversy in the jailbreak community of late, some of which has been focused directly on P0sixspwn with the accusation being that a valuable exploit was burned to produce a jailbreak that only works with older, non-supported firmwares.
Putting all this aside, it is clear that there is a market for an untethered solution that supports devices still running on iOS 6. Apple's decision to dramatically overhaul the operating system as part of iOS 7 managed to alienate lots of loyal users so this jailbreak is especially for those who remain on iOS 6.
